BIO
Jessica has a unique combination of skills with a history of macrobiotic, vegetarian and omnivore eating as well as undergraduate studies in Spanish language and culture. She received Master’s level nutrition training from Bastyr University where the curriculum is holistic as well as biomedical. Since moving back to Massachusetts in 2003, Jessica completed the dietetic internship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, achieved registered dietitian status and worked as an Ambulatory Clinical Dietitian at Tufts-New England Medical Center. Since early 2007, Jessica works as outpatient dietitian/nutritionist at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates in addition to her work at The Lane Center.
PHILOSOPHY
Jessica synthesizes conventional and holistic nutrition principles into her counseling, using a broad base of medical nutrition therapy as well as extensive knowledge of complementary and alternative medicine. She counsels her patients to improve mindfulness around eating for energy and supporting optimal health. Jessica encourages her clients to make small, gradual changes for effective and long-lasting impact.
